Environmental Radioisotope lab
Department of Geography and Environment, Bar-Ilan University
The lab is equipped with different detectors, dedicated to the measurements of Rn and Ra isotopes, as well as other radionuclides, such as 234-Th.
This includes: 6 Lucas Cells connected to a Ran emanations system, 6 RaDeCC systems, 2 HPGe low-background gamma spectrometers, 2 RAD7 spectrometers, Quantulus 1220 liquid scintillator, low-background beta counter.
We also have a Shimatzu TOC/TN analyzer and a CHN, dedicated to the measurement of dissolved and particulate organic matter, as well as conductivity meters, mini diver and CTD divers for borehole measurements.
A whole set of instruments (sediment traps, CTDs, fluorometer, current meters and others is deployed in the DeepLev marine station, and will be described separately.
